Lots of stuff going on tonight…but it’s suppose to be cold and rainy. At least it’s not snowing though right? Making Time comes back tonight with special guests Yacht and Bobby Birdman. Last time I saw Yacht was with that whole Kia Soul thing and despite there being around 15 people there watching them, they [...]

Sorry for the lack of posts for the last two days, I just couldn’t keep myself cooped inside with the amazing weather that we’re having. I hope you all were doing the same. Take advantage of it too because we’ll be getting hammered with rain this weekend. With that being said, there’s quite a few things going on tonight. A handful of great shows out west, one of which has one of my favorite local acts, Algernon Cadwadaller, playing. The much-hyped the Morning Benders are playing at Johnny Brendas. And if you’re looking to get down and dirty, Sammy Slice joins Rock Tits tonight down at POPE. Sammy’s becoming one of the better djs in the city and he doesn’t get down to south Philly too often so make sure you check him out.

Well today is basically going to be awesome. It’s gorgeous outside and suppose to get up to around 50, tt’s First Friday, and there’s a ton of stuff going on tonight. Live music wise, both the Cymbals Eat Guitars and RJD2 shows are sold out. Local favorites (who will begin working on their new album [...]
Holy crap there’s a lot to do tonight. Lots of good music and one hell of a party at Silk City too. One of my new favorite local bands Golden Ages is playing down at the Ox. There are two awesome shows in Fishtown, Title Tracks at Kung Fu Necktie and Sondre Lerche at Johnny [...]
Alright this is going to be short and sweet, plain and simple, ying and yang. Alright the last one doesn’t really fit but whatever. The Extraordinaires and the Dangerous Ponies play one final show at Johnny Brendas here in final before they migrate down to Austin for SXSW. Blood Feathers and Tough Shits come to [...]
Yesterday Hulu premiered it’s first original program, a reality show entitled If I Can Dream. The show follows five aspiring, young individuals as they try to make it in Los Angeles. The group will live in a house rigged with 50 cameras that will broadcast content around the clock. Original huh? While the premise may [...]
So we survived what’ll hopefully be the last snowstorm of the season and the weather is actually somewhat pleasant now. No more show cancellations or worries of going outside and walking through inches of snow to get somewhere. With that being said, there isn’t too much going on tonight. Somehow Muse got big enough to [...]
Sick of the snow yet? Yeah we are too. Luckily this go around isn’t as bad as the other ones were. Septa’s running, they’re just a little delayed and for the most part the roads are clear. Thank goodness too because Twiztid is coming to the TLA tonight! Can’t wait for that show… PYT’s having [...]
So we’re about to get hit with yet another significant snow storm over the course of the next 24 hours. It’s not going to be anything like the last two or three, but it’s still going to cause a whole lot of problems. The worst is suppose to come tonight into tomorrow morning. Hopefully that [...]
Hopefully you guys weren’t too lost for the past two days while I was MIA. More importantly, I hope you all were at the Barbary on Monday to not only see that Fugazi film, but to also see Spank Rock play with a live band. And last night two.one.five held another one of those Heineken [...]
Finally it’s Friday. The week’s over and the weekend is just about to begin. It’s suppose to be warm, and by warm I mean actually above 40. So bust out all of those shorts and mini dresses while you still can.
As for tonight, there’s a shit load of things going on. Making Time brings hypemachine [...]
Well here it is. Finally a day that isn’t holiday (or at least one that I don’t know of). This all feels a little foreign to me now. I don’t have that security blanket to hide behind anymore. But never the less, we will move on. Lots in store for tonight, I don’t even know [...]
