611 Records is announcing several internships and positions starting in the month of June

LOCAL AND INTERNATIONAL MARKETING POSITIONS:

611 Records (www.611records.com), is recruiting interns for paid and unpaid internships at our office located near University of Pennsylvania. We are establishing web driven , music marketing campaigns for our artists that are directed towards countries in Asia, Europe, the Middle East as well as domestic American markets.

Our internships focused on international marketing will require candidates that originally lived in the countries we are targeting and that the candidate has complete knowledge of the language and culture of those countries.  Interns will be responsible for educating our company on the proper ways to market music to each country and how to establish our company as a taste-maker for youth driven culture in each country. We will need students from these countries to help us gain a better understanding for each culture and how best to relate to people from that specific country.

Domestic markets will also be targeted and our candidates will have to have a strong passion for dance music, and marketing.  All candidates, no matter where they are from or what internship they have interest in, will be held to a high standard for acceptance.  These positions will be very challenging and our expectations of you will be high.  We are not looking for coffee runners or someone to get our lunch for us.  We expect candidates to be committed, resourceful, web savvy, motivated beyond control,  thirsty for new music, a bit insane, funny, youthful, energetic, and dumb enough to accept this challenge!!!!  No TPS REPORTS REQUIRED.

GRAPHIC DESIGN AND PROGRAMMING INTERNSHIPS + POSITIONS:

We are seeking several graphic design interns who have some basic skills and experience in designing graphics and layouts for website. We are interested entry level designers as we will provide additional training and will  give you the skill sets that will position you to gain excellent career options as you move forward. Basic HTML and CSS experience and skills are necessary for these positions. We are also in search of excellent programmers who have any experience with PHP, HTML, XHTML, Javascript, Flash, Jquery , Ajax, and other similar web 2.0 technologies, languages and platforms. Experience with platforms such as Wordpress , Drupal, and shopping cart systems like Magento are always a plus.
