New Justice track surfaces; album out later this year

img_8958It’s hard to believe that Justice’s came out three years ago. With the exception of a handful of remixes, we really haven’t heard anything new from them since then. is one of my all time favorite albums. So when I discovered late last night (thank you YANP) that Justice had released the first song of their next, as of right now untitled new album, I was very excited.  The song, “Beginning of the End” definitely has that Justice sound, but I can’t see it being a single by any means. When I first heard it I thought that it sounded a unfinished. So maybe it was a demo? But after giving a few more listens, along with listening to  again, I came up with another theory. Maybe the song is exactly what it says it is? It’s very reminiscent to “One Minute to Midnight”, which was the final song off of . Both songs share a very simple song structure, as well as leaving the listener with the feeling like the night is over once the song has finished. The melodies of the two songs are even similar.

With being such a huge success, have Justice set themselves up for the first big sophomore slump album of this decade? Only time will tell… 8 months to be exact. It will be out on Downtown Records.

Check out the song below and let me know what you think:

Justice - Beginning of the End

****Update: It’s actually a fake track. A hacker sent it via a fake Ed Banger email account. Thank you for getting all of our hopes up, mr. hacker. Kudos though for producing a pretty convincing track (via Grandcrew.com)****

So who knows exactly what Justice are up to and if and when they’ll put out their next album?

And here’s the track if you guys want to listen to it anyway?
